SUMMER CAMP

Nothing but non stop fun, learning, and exploring.

We provide care for ages 0-12 years of age as well as before & aftercare for children 5-12 years of age. We also accept school age children on Teacher’s Planning Day, Spring break, Christmas break, and throughout the summer.

Our center implements the High/Scope approach in early childhood education. The children are actively learning at every moment of the day. They engage in key experiences throughout the day (e.g. creative expression, music and movement, literacy, classification, serration, etc…) We incorporate the high/Scope wheel of learning such as assessment, adult-child interaction, learning environment and the daily routine.

The children are learning through all of these aspects and the teachers are engaged as facilitators to ensure that the children have the necessary materials and opportunities. The plan-do-review process is a very important aspect of the High/Scope approach that brings preface and closure to the active learning process. We enjoy working with High/Scope and the children receive so much more when they engage and become active learners.

OUR SERVICES

We provide an exclusive area for our Infants from 2 months old to 12 months, were they are able to have a quiet and safe environment. We follow High Scope Curriculum in which our main focus is to help infants develop their motor skills and adequate speech and play.

For our toddlers & 2 yr. old, we focus our education in helping them develop adequate social & emotional skills, physical & cognitive development, health, creative arts and communication. In collaboration with the parents, we help children transition into potty training.

We support children’s growth and learning using short activities and small groups.  Through play, we encourage children to become independent and creative.  Our goal is for children to enhance their social-emotional skills, language development and fine motor skills.

The content of learning is guided by key experiences in language and literacy, mathematics and science, social-emotional development, physical development and arts. The heart of the curriculum approach is the plan-do-review sequence in which children make choices, carry out their ideas and reflect on what they learned, these activities promote initiative and independence.
